titleOfInvention Thermal transfer device for evaporating and pyrolysing samples for analytical measuring technology
abstract Conventional transfer devices consist of a stainless steel tube, either with an applied heating coil or with a surrounding heating cartridge. The use of metal parts in the heated tube section leads to the decomposition of sensitive samples, so that an inner evaporator tube made of glass must be attached. The resulting thermally insulating annular gap and the graphite-containing sealing material limit the maximum temperature that can be reached to 400 ° C. The new transfer device, on the other hand, should be chemically inert, as well as the direct introduction of the amount of heat supplied into the sample to be examined, in dynamic heating cycles at high temperatures and heating rates. DOLLAR A The new transfer device consists of a tubular, ceramic body with integrated electrically conductive structures which are designed as heating elements. These are either vapor-deposited onto the ceramic tube from the outside or embedded in an electrically insulating manner in the ceramic matrix. Compounds of either nitrides, or oxides, or carbides, with elements of the 3rd and 4th main group of the periodic table are used as ceramic materials. The body can be made from a single homogeneous material, a suitable mixture of different materials or as a composite workpiece from several layers. DOLLAR A The compact, low thermal mass transfer device enables fast, ...
