abstract The invention relates to a bitumen emulsion for use in cold construction methods in a mixing process, in particular as a binder for building materials or for surface coating. This contains hydrophobized constituents, which are encased by a colloidal dispersion of a bitumen in an aqueous medium, and further constituents, the composition being selected such that a hydraulic binder is present in addition to a bituminous binder, the mode of action of the binders gradually being used when the emulsion disintegrates , and the decay only begins when it comes into contact with the material surfaces to be connected and is additionally exposed to mechanical stress.
