titleOfInvention Non-volatile ferroelectric memory and method for detecting defective cells therein
abstract A non-volatile ferroelectric memory and a method for identifying a defective cell therein are provided which do not require a separate test mode to identify a defective cell and in which a defective cell can be easily identified and eliminated even under varying process conditions. DOLLAR A The non-volatile ferroelectric memory according to the invention is provided with the following: DOLLAR A - a driver for a non-volatile ferroelectric memory cell, which consists of an upper cell array and a lower cell array, a sense amplifier formed between these arrays for reading signals from these arrays and a word line driver Driving a word line in these arrays; DOLLAR A - an X decoder for selectively outputting a word line decoding signal to the word line driver and DOLLAR A - a pulse width generating unit for varying the width of a restore pulse and for outputting this varied width to the word line driver to detect a defective cell in said arrays.
