The invention relates to a vehicle computer system with a computer unit (12), a screen (20) for displaying information (54-58, 82), a cursor (62) and selection menus with individual selection menu items, and an operating element (22, 23, 24) for two-dimensional movement of the cursor on the screen and for selection of selection menu items. It comprises a first means (34) for capturing the display areas of predeterminable information (54-58, 82) on the screen, a second means (36) for determining a feed area (60) of predefinable size for a display area, and a third means ( 30) to act upon the control element (22) with an actuating force when the cursor (62) lies in a feed area (60) in such a way that the cursor is moved into the associated display area. The invention also relates to a method for controlling a cursor for the vehicle computer system mentioned (FIG. 1a). |
