abstract The invention relates to a graft polymer, in particular one composed of an elastomer such as polyacrylic acid ester and polyvinyl chloride polymerized thereon, a process for producing the graft polymer, and its use. It has been found that emulsion graft polymerization of vinyl chloride onto an aqueous dispersion of an acrylic acid ester polymer with subsequent coagulation and drying, a graft polymer of vinyl chloride on polyacrylic acid ester can be produced which, when mixed with homopolymer PVC, gives a rapidly plasticizing mass which can be processed into an impact-modified PVC molded body with high color quality, the time at which the graft polymer coagulates is of crucial importance for the plasticizing characteristics of the is impact modified PVC mass with this polymer.
