titleOfInvention Device for adjusting the sieve opening width on combine harvesters
abstract The invention relates to a device for adjusting the screen opening width on combine harvesters. DOLLAR A This device should be inexpensive to manufacture and the installation of a new sieve or the reinstallation of the previously used sieve should be possible in a short time, with the previous sieve opening width being set again immediately. Furthermore, with this device, the setting of the screen opening width on a pre-screen should be able to be carried out from an easily accessible point. DOLLAR A This is achieved by adjusting the fins (12) of the sieve (4) by means of an adjustment rail (20) which is actuated by a cross shaft (24) and an adjustment mechanism (27), both of which are fixed in position on the sieve box (11) the cleaning device (5) are arranged. The cross shaft (24) with an upwardly oriented driver (34) attached to it is located below the sieve (4). This driver (34) is connected to the adjustment rail (20) via a positive connection to be released by an upward movement of the screen (4).
