abstract |
The invention relates to a white, biaxially oriented film made of a crystallizable thermoplastic with a high degree of whiteness, the thickness of which is in the range from 10 to 500 μm. It contains at least one titanium oxide of the rutile type as pigment and an optical brightener in the presence or absence of further additives and is distinguished by at least one additional functionality. The expression "additional functionality" includes UV stability, resistance to deformation, photooxidative stability, flame-retardant finish and sealability. Such a film can have one or more of the functional properties. All such foils are characterized by economical thermoformability, good hiding properties and very good optical and mechanical properties. The invention further relates to a method for producing this film and its use. |
