titleOfInvention | Cross strut arrangement made of plastic for a vehicle with shaft connectors formed uniformly with it |
abstract | A transverse automotive structural reinforcement strut assembly is mounted between a pair of vehicle door posts of a supporting body of an automobile, which has a unitary male connector boss for connection to air supply pipes extending from shafts in the instrument panel assembly. The transverse motor vehicle strut arrangement comprises a first and a second plastic plate, which have at least one ventilation passage defined between them and at least one opening in the plates, which is in flow communication with the ventilation passage. A third plate is attached to the second plate to complete the transverse automotive strut assembly and includes at least one tubular male connector protrusion formed integrally therewith in the outer surface of the third plate in fluid communication with the at least one ventilation passage. The tubular male connector protrusion is connected to a tubular female connector portion of an air supply pipe to direct air through shafts in an instrument panel assembly into an occupant compartment. |
