titleOfInvention Device and method for flow measurement for an internal pump of a boiling water reactor
abstract A reactor pressure vessel (RPV) (10) for a nuclear reactor that allows measurement of the flow through each internal reactor pump (IRP) (32) is described. The reactor pressure vessel includes at least one internal reactor pump, which has an impeller (52) and a pump diffuser (56). At least two sealing rings (86, 88) extend circumferentially around an outer surface (74) of the outer wall (60) of the diffuser housing (58) and they are in circumferential grooves (76, 78, 80, 82) in the outer housing wall arranged. At least one lateral bore (94) extends through the outer wall of the housing into a longitudinal flow passage (62) of the diffuser housing. Each lateral bore is arranged in an area between two adjacent sealing rings, with each area located between sealing rings containing a lateral bore. At least one pressure decrease bore (98) extends from the outer surface (100) of the bottom cover collar (16) of the RPV through the pump cover (28) to an inner surface (92) of a pump cover opening (30). Each pressure tap hole is aligned with an area in the IRP that contains a corresponding side hole.
