The present invention relates to a cleaning device for cleaning toothbrushing tools, in particular for cleaning brush attachments of electric toothbrushes for domestic or family use. The cleaning device has a storage container for a cleaning agent, a cleaning container for receiving the toothbrushing tool to be cleaned, and a rinsing device for rinsing the cleaning container with cleaning agent from the storage container, in such a way that a cleaning level which effects the wetting of the toothbrushing tool is set in the cleaning container. An ultrasound generator and / or a vibration generator can be provided to support cleaning. A disinfecting device can be provided for disinfecting the tooth cleaning tools to be cleaned. In particular, an ozone source can be provided to apply ozone to the toothbrushing tool. Furthermore, a UV light source can be provided for disinfection.
