titleOfInvention UV and blue light sensitive photosensitizers for photopolymerization
abstract Merocyanines which have an absorption maximum between 370 nm and 430 nm are described with the structure DOLLAR F1, in which X represents a methylene group, oxygen or sulfur; Y oxygen or sulfur; R · 1 · straight-chain or branched C¶1¶ to C¶4¶ alkyl; R · 2 · and R · 3 · independently of one another are hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; R · 4 · hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, propyl or isopropyl; R5 are straight-chain or branched C¶1¶ to C¶12¶ alkyl. The merocyanines are suitable as sensitizers for use in optical recording materials which work on the basis of photopolymerization in order to sensitize them to UV and blue laser light.
