titleOfInvention Organ damage prevention agent induced by aminoglycosides
abstract The invention relates to agents for the prevention of organ damage, in particular of the kidney and the inner ear, which are induced by administration of aminoglycosides. Agents according to the invention are all substances which are megalin antagonists (inhibitors). In particular, they are molecules (compounds) that have polybasic structures that bind to megalin and inhibit the binding of aminoglycosides and related substances. Preferred compounds in the sense of the invention are, in particular, structurally or functionally related molecules of polybasic polymyxin.
