abstract |
The invention relates to a VCSEL with a semiconductor body (1) and a first and a second main surface, a first contact surface (2) being formed on the first main surface and a second contact surface (3) on the second main surface. The invention also has an active layer (4) which is arranged between a first mirror (5) and a second mirror (6). The radiation generated is coupled out through the second mirror (6) and the second main surface, the second contact surface (3) formed thereon being arranged downstream of the second mirror and being transparent or semi-transparent to the radiation generated. The second contact surface (3) is preferably designed in a ring shape. |
