The invention relates to a method for producing a catalyst, wherein catalytically active material is deposited electrochemically on a substrate by immersing the substrate in an electrolyte which contains the catalytically active material and an electrical voltage is applied between the substrate and a counter electrode, wherein a Pt / Ru mixture is deposited on a steel substrate from a sulfuric acid solution with a platinum content and a ruthenium content as catalytically active material with a ratio of Pt: Ru from 1:10 to 1:20. |
