abstract | The invention relates to a system and a method for removing flux residues on a soldered, metallic workpiece, in which DOLLAR A (a) a workpiece holder for releasably locking the workpiece and lifting, lowering and transport means for the workpiece holder including the workpiece are present allow a continuous treatment of the workpiece in the system (10); DOLLAR A (b) a treatment zone (12) with a first active medium is provided, the first active medium being dilute sodium hydroxide solution in the pH range from 0.8 to 10.5, in particular with pH = 9.5; DOLLAR A (c) there is a first rinsing device for rinsing the first active medium with water; DOLLAR A (d) a treatment zone (24) with a second active medium is provided, the second active medium being a 5 to 15%, in particular 10%, nitric acid; DOLLAR A (e) there is a second rinsing device for rinsing off the second active medium with water and DOLLAR A (f) a drying and cooling device (42) is provided.
