abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a functional layer (1) with a predetermined outline on the surfaces of a plurality of identical base bodies (2), a base layer being first applied to the bulk material. After the basic bodies (2) have been arranged, a sacrificial layer (4) is applied, the outline of the functional layer (1) being complementary. The base body (2) is then brought together again to form the bulk material, and the functional layer (1) is deposited. The sacrificial layer (4) and the exposed parts of the base layer (3) are then removed. The invention further relates to the use of the method for producing metallizations on ceramic components. Due to the combination of applying the base layer (2) in the bulk material, applying the sacrificial layer (4) in order and removing further layers in the bulk material, the method is particularly suitable for producing large quantities.
