abstract The present invention relates to an Fe-Ni-based alloy with low thermal expansion for half-tension masks with excellent creep properties, which has the following composition: 34 to 38 wt .-% Ni, 0.01 to 0.5 wt .-% Mn , 0.0003 to 0.0015% by weight B, 0010 to 0.0050% by weight N, balance Fe and unavoidable impurities. The invention further relates to a half-voltage mask, in which such an alloy is used, and a color picture tube, in which such a half-voltage mask is used.
