abstract |
A PEI film (12) to be bonded is applied over an alkane film (20) to a glass epoxy substrate (10) and an area to be bonded is heated to a temperature not below the glass transition temperature T g of the PEI film, whereby an adhesion-improving layer (15) is formed at the interface with the glass-epoxy substrate, in which the alkane is dispersed in the PEI film. That is, the PEI film is bonded to the glass epoxy substrate through the adhesion enhancement layer. The fact that the adhesion improvement layer has a modulus of elasticity which is lower than the modulus of elasticity of the PEI film results in an improved adhesive strength. |
