abstract Hollow chamber profiles (1) with a polyurethane foam (2) can be produced particularly advantageously by applying a liquid reaction mixture (15) to a carrier material insert (3), while the carrier material insert (3) together with the reaction mixture (15) into the hollow chamber profile (1 ) is drawn in at a uniform speed, using a carrier material insert (3) which has a delayed permeability for the reaction mixture (15), the delay interval lasting from the time the reaction mixture (15) is introduced until it is introduced into the hollow chamber profile (1) and the carrier material insert (3) then becomes permeable to the reaction mixture (15) and the foam (2) that forms has good adhesion to the inner wall (4) of the hollow chamber profile (1) everywhere over the profile cross section.
