DOLLAR A This is achieved by exposing a sensor to electromagnetic waves of several frequencies and determining the frequency-dependent complex dielectric coefficient of the medium being examined with the aid of sensor-specific calibration data and an equation system in which a mixture formula that takes the depolarization factor into account, such as that of polder van Santen, is used as a basis and resolved according to the unknown frequency-independent parameters and thus concludes that the liquid water is based on weight or volume.
