titleOfInvention | Procedure for the investigation of membrane-enclosed biocompartments |
abstract | In a method for examining biocompartments (1), culture medium flows through a measuring chamber (2) containing the biocompartments (1) continuously or in portions. An electrical voltage is applied in a culture medium area adjacent to the biocompartments (1) such that OH · - · - and / or H · + · -Ions are formed. While the voltage is applied, a first measurement ((pH¶-1¶, pH¶-3¶) for the pH of the culture medium is measured, then the voltage is switched off or changed in such a way that the formation of OH · - · - and H · + · ions from the substance ceases. Before or after the measurement of the first measured value (pH¶-1¶, pH¶-3¶), the voltage is switched off or at a voltage at which the formation of hydroxide and hydrogen ions from the substance is omitted, a second measurement (pH¶-2¶, pH¶-4¶) for the pH of the culture medium is measured. After the entire measurement has been repeated at least once, the first and second measurements are taken the change in concentration of the substance in the culture medium and the acidification or basification of the culture medium is determined. |
