titleOfInvention Process for quality inspection of components
abstract The present invention relates to a method for quality inspection of components, in which the component is excited with a broadband acoustic pulse and the impulse response of the component is detected, the impulse response being subjected to frequency analyzes in order to distinguish intact components from defective components. The method is characterized in that the distribution of the excitation energy over frequency ranges of a broad frequency band of the impulse response is determined as a function of time, the broad frequency band also or exclusively comprising frequencies above the basic resonances of the component. By comparing one or more sections determined by predeterminable frequency and time sections from the determined distribution with reference data, intact components can be distinguished from defective components. DOLLAR A The method enables reliable quality testing of components with low requirements for frequency resolution and short measuring times.
