abstract The disconnector device for the load circuit of a vehicle battery contains a movable contact part (81) and a fixed contact part (64) which are connected to a locking mechanism. To open the locking mechanism, a release element (4) made of a shape memory alloy is used, which contracts when heated. For closing, a spring element (110) should also be made of a shape memory alloy, which causes the closing process by expansion.
