abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing near-net shape components by means of a thixoforming process. Bolts made of a metallic material or a composite material are heated so that the material becomes thixotropic. The bolts to be heated are completely or partially encased by a shell made of a metal or a metallic alloy with a melting temperature higher than the processing temperature of the bolt to be heated. After the thixotropic structure has been reached, the bolts are introduced with the covering into a casting chamber and the bolt material is pressed out of the covering there. |
