titleOfInvention Process for the production of chimeras between bacterial and eukaryotic potassium channels on solid supports and their use for the identification of potassium channel agonists and antagonists
abstract According to the invention, a bacterial expression vector is provided which contains at least one nucleotide sequence which codes for a chimeric KcsA-Kv 1.3 potassium channel subunit in an arrangement which enables the functional expression in Escherichia coli, the nucleotide sequence being the one in SEQ ID NO: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17, 19, 21 sequences shown or are homologs, mutants, derivatives or fragments thereof.
