A process for isolating high-boiling monomers from the distillation residue, which is obtained in the cyclodimerization and cyclotrimerization of 1,3-butadiene and removal of the target products, is presented, in which DOLLAR A - the low boilers are separated off, DOLLAR A - the desired target products cyclooctadiene or cyclododecatriene can be obtained by distillation, DOLLAR A - the distillation residue is extracted with a non-polar or weakly polar solvent or solvent mixture, DOLLAR A - insoluble oligomers and polymers crystallize at least in part and are separated by a mechanical separation operation, DOLLAR A - the extractant preferably by distillation is removed as low boilers and DOLLAR A - the high-boiling monomers are preferably obtained by vacuum distillation. |
