abstract | The method and the device are used for the low-temperature separation of air. Feed air is compressed, fed to an air cleaning device, cooled in a main heat exchanger and introduced into a rectification system for nitrogen-oxygen separation, which has a pressure column. At least part of the compressed and pre-cleaned feed air is fed to the pressure column. An oxygen-enriched fraction is taken from the pressure column at least one theoretical or practical floor above the point at which compressed and pre-cleaned feed air is fed to the pressure column. A recycle fraction is discharged liquid from the bottom of the pressure column, evaporated and fed to a cleaning stage in the gaseous state. At least a portion of the recycle fraction is introduced into the rectification system for nitrogen-oxygen separation downstream of the purification stage. The evaporation of the recycle fraction is carried out in a secondary evaporator separate from the main heat exchanger. |
