abstract | The present invention relates to regulatory sequences which mediate specific expression in dendritic cells. The regulatory sequences are isolated from human fascingen and also include, for example, promoter sequences. Also described are recombinant nucleic acid molecules and vectors which contain the regulatory sequences, and preferred embodiments of the recombinant nucleic acid molecules and vectors which encode antigens or immunoregulatory proteins. The invention further relates to host cells which contain the recombinant nucleic acid molecules or vectors and methods for their production. Further embodiments relate to in vitro methods for stimulating T cells and for producing T cell stimulating dentritic cells and for formulating them as medicaments. Other medicinal products are described which essentially relate to DNA vaccines and gene therapeutic medicinal products, for example for the immunization against and treatment of infectious diseases, tumors, allergies or Alzheimer's plaques. Further medicaments according to the invention can be used for the targeted modulation of immune responses mediated by dendritic cells, for example for the treatment of autoimmune diseases or graft rejection. Various uses of the regulatory sequences are also described. |
