abstract | The invention relates to an in vitro method in which substances are tested for potato tuber on their elicitor and sensitizer activity against Phytophthora infestans (Mont.) De Bary. The invention is suitable for use in drug research, in particular plant protection research, and serves to find new active ingredients for crop protection agents, which are primarily used for controlling Phytophthora infestans. The substances to be tested are applied to potato tuber slices in a suitable amount. When testing for sensitizer effect, there is also an infection with P. infestans.
