titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of alternating butadiene-ethylene copolymers
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of alternately structured butadiene-ethylene copolymers with a vanadium-containing organometallic mixed catalyst. The resulting copolymers have high molecular weights and the butadiene units are predominantly in 1,4-trans configuration. By their butadiene content, the products are covulcanizable with other diene polymers by conventional crosslinking systems and can be used in rubber compounds to improve processing and application performance.
