titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR POLYMERIZATION OF ETHENE
abstract The invention relates to a process for the polymerization of ethene in the continuous gas phase process in the presence of chromium catalysts and is used in the NDPE type change in a single-gang plant. The necessary chrome-catalyst-type change is made possible by the fact that a substance-specific additive is made in the context of a selected washing program for the reactor system. The substance-specific additive is an organoaluminum compound, preferably diethylaluminum ethoxide. The organoaluminum compound is used to bind the occurring during the chemical destruction of the exchanged chromium catalyst substances with poisonous effect on the introduced chromium catalyst and render harmless.
