titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING GAS-CONTAINING CERAMIC KOERPERS
abstract Porous gas-permeable ceramic bodies are increasingly used for the inert gas purging of molten metals, in particular steel melts. This achieves a high quality improvement of the final products. The invention is based on the production of a gas-permeable high alumina ceramic body with high permeability, low tendency to infiltrate, volume resistance and high demands sufficient thermal and physical properties. It was found an optimal connection between targeted Körnungsaufbau, a Miminal press pressure and mullitisierenden during high-temperature firing glass phase bond. As a result, the possibilities of producing a gas-permeable ceramic body with optimum performance properties are given.
