titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR PREPARING A CATALYST FOR ETHYLENE CLPOLYMERIZATION
abstract The invention relates to the preparation of a highly active catalyst which contains a transition metal compound on a magnesium chloride and aluminum-containing carrier and enables the production of ethene copolymers with a broad short chain branching distribution and thus improved mechanical and optical properties. For the carrier magnesium is reacted with n-butyl chloride (butyl chloride - Mg ratio 1.3 to 1.5) and temperatures between 373 to 403 K, wherein the first half of the n-butyl chloride within 1 h and the 2. Half is added within 2 h. Anschlieszend a treatment of the resulting Primaertraegers whose X-ray spectrum has only one diffraction maximum at d1.82 A, with diethylaluminum chloride. Thereafter, the solution of Al-alkyl in solution with carbon tetrachloride is adjusted to the gross composition and the titanium trichloride formed in situ from titanium tetrachloride is fixed on the support. {Catalyst; Transition metal compound; Ethencopolymerisation; Short chain branching distribution; Property, mechanical; Property, optical; Katalysatortraeger; n-butyl; Dosage; Temperature; Roentgenspektrum; Diffraction peak}
