titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR THE ANIONIC POLYMERIZATION OF ACRYLOMONOMERS |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the anionic polymerization of acrylic monomers and a starter system for this polymerization. This initiator system for the anionic polymerization of acrylic monomers and optionally vinyl comonomers comprises at least one initiator RM, where M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal and R is a straight or branched C2-C6 chain or an aryl or arylalkyl radical, and is thereby characterized in that the polymerization is also carried out in the presence of at least one alkali metal alcoholate R1OM1, wherein R1 represents a straight-chain or branched C1-C6 alkyl chain or an aryl or aralkyl radical and M1 represents an alkali metal, with the proviso that when M1 is lithium R is aryl or arylalkyl. The polymerization process for primary, secondary or tertiary alkyl acrylates or methacrylic monomers and optionally for vinyl comonomers is characterized in that the polymerization is carried out in the presence of the initiator system described above. manufacture; anionic polymerization; acrylic monomers; Starter System; Block polymers; Living polymerization; Starter System; Alkali metal compounds; alkaline earth} |
