titleOfInvention | ALPHA SUB-UNIT OF THE LFA-L-LEUKOZYTADHAESION RECEPTOR |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of an LFA-1 alpha subunit or its functional derivative, substantially free of natural contaminants, characterized in that a suitable host organism with an expression vector which as a coding sequence replicon and control sequence for expression in Prokaryotes and eukaryotes for the desired polypeptide at an appropriate site, transformed, or the LFA-1 alpha subunit or its functional derivative is chemically synthesized, and the desired polypeptide is isolated from the resulting transformants or reaction mixture. The LFA-1 alpha subunit is involved in the process by which the cell recognizes and migrates sites of inflammation as well as attacks on cellular substrates. {Alpha subunit of the leukocytic adhesion receptor; LFA-1 production; pharmaceuticals} |
