titleOfInvention | POLYNORBORN BASE COMPOSITION COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF |
abstract | The invention relates to a polynorbone-based rubber composition having improved thermal performance. The composition comprises a mixture of at least 50 * polynorbornene and at most 50 * of another rubber, the mixture being vulcanized with a compound of the formula * wherein R1, R2CHnX3-n with XF, Cl or Br and a whole from 0 to 2. Die The invention also relates to thermoplastic compositions comprising 10 to 90 parts by weight of at least one olefin-based crystalline polymer (A), 90 to 10 parts by weight of the rubber composition (B) and a polynorbornene plasticizer in an amount sufficient to change its glass transition temperature in the range of rubber, wherein the sum of the component (A) and the component (B) is 100 parts by weight. The compositions of this invention are used to make finished products and industrial products by extrusion, extrusion blow molding, injection molding and compression molding.
