titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING OXYGEN DERIVATIVES OF ETHYLENE
abstract The invention relates to a process for the production of oxygen derivatives of ethylbenzene containing one to three oxygen atoms in the side chain by biotransformation. The aim is to carry out the oxidation of ethylbenzene, styrene or lower oxidation products of ethylbenzene with such microorganisms that allows the synthesis of almost all conceivable oxygen derivatives of the aromatic used. The inventive solution provides for the use of n-alkane-utilizing yeasts of the species Candida maltosa in the transformation process in the presence of 0.3 to 30% n-paraffins.
