abstract |
The invention relates to a process for stabilizing the viscosity of polyurethane solutions against small amounts of strong organic or inorganic acids. The polyurethane solutions are applicable for textile coatings and as adhesives. According to the invention, in the polyurethane solution 1 to 10 parts of a low-molecular-weight melamine resin partially etherified with aliphatic alcohols are additionally dissolved, which has between 4 to 6 formaldehyde building blocks and 1.5 to 2.5 alkoxy groups per melamine nucleus.
