titleOfInvention METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION IN THE BLOOD CIRCUIT OF REMAINING COORDINATION COMPOUNDS OF RADIONUCLIDE HIGH 111 INDIUM AND HIGH 113M INDIUM
abstract The invention relates to a process for the production of remaining in the blood circulation coordination compounds of radionuclides 111Indium and 113mIndium. 111In3 and 113mIn3 ions accumulate in the blood on the protein transferrin. However, some of the in-cations are split off again and excreted renally. 111 / 113mIn cations form sufficiently stable coordination compounds with crown ethers in acidic medium through a simple and rapid reaction for in vivo blood plasma labeling. These complexes are distributed in the bloodstream after intravenous administration and do not migrate into extravasal spaces. Hepatobiliaere or renal excretion is not observed in animal experiments (rat). As a result, 111 / 113mIn crown ether complexes are suitable for rapid determination of blood volume and blood pool marking in emergency medicine. Using the nuclide 113mIn also reduces the radiation exposure of patients. Further fields of application are protein research and cancer research, cardiac diagnostics as well as physiological and pathophysiological research.
