titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR PREPARING ACETESSIG-O-ANISIDIDE
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of acetoacetic o-anisidide in high yield and good quality. The acetoacetic o-anisidide is mainly used as an intermediate for the preparation of pigment dyes. The starting material used is o-anisidine, which is reacted in xylene in the presence of triethanolamine with ethyl acetoacetate. By treating the reaction mixture of mineral acid at 5 to 10C, preferably using sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, after sucking the target product, the mother liquor after phase separation and washing with water can be recycled without further treatment. {Synthesis; Acetoacet-o-anisidide; o-anisidine; acetoacetic; Condensation; Mineralsaeurebehandlung; Cold; Circulation process}
