The invention relates to a process for the preparation of pure o-, m- or p-phenyldiamine by rectification carried out under reduced pressure. According to the invention, the rectification is carried out in the presence of from 0.1 to 1.6% of aliphatic or cycloaliphatic amines or mixtures thereof, the boiling point of the amines being above the boiling point of the phenylenediamine. The rectified product is recrystallized if desired in a known manner. The process according to the invention gives high-purity, color-stable phenylenediamines which are suitable for the preparation of crop protection agents or medicaments. o-, m- or p-phenyldiamine; Rectification; phenylenediamines; Pesticides; Drug} |
