titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR PREPARING SUBSTITUTED THIAZOLIDINYLIDENCYANESE ACID ESTERS
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of substituted Thiazolidinylidencyanessigsaeureestern. The aim of the invention is to develop a process for the preparation of 5-bis (alkylthio) methylene-3-aryl-4-oxo-thiazolidin-2-ylidene cyanoacetic acid alkyl esters. According to the invention, the substituted thiazolidinylidenecyanoacetic acid esters of general formula III in which R and R 2 are an alkyl radical and R 1 is an aryl radical can be reacted with carbon disulfide, sodium alcoholate and alkyl halides by reaction of the thiazolidinylidenecyanoacetic acid esters of general formula I where R and R 1 have the above meaning or sulfates of general formula II in which R 2 has the above meaning and X represents a halogen atom or an alkylsulfate radical. These substituted Thiazolidinylidencyanessigsaeureester can be used as organic intermediates for further syntheses. They are particularly suitable for the preparation of potentially biologically active compounds. {Thiazolidines; thiazolidinones; cyanoacetic; thioether; Carbon disulphide}
