titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF 6-METHOXYTETRALONE
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 6-methoxytetralone by oxidation of 6-methoxytetralin by means * in sulfuric acid suspension. By adding ethyl acetate as a solubilizer and chromium (III) sulfate as a catalyst and by a dibromomethane-chlorobromane mixture as extractant and a laundry with alkaline sulfite solution is achieved with reduced technical complexity, a product of increased purity and yield. The resulting chromium (III) sulphate solution can be worked up to a chromium hydroxide solution {6-methoxytetralone, 6-methoxytetralin, oxidation, * catalyst, solubilizer, extractant, alkaline sulphite solution, chromium-free}
