abstract The invention relates to a diagnostic method for early detection of the sudden infant death syndrome. The aim is to give medical diagnostics a method with which it is possible to recognize children at risk of early childhood death syndrome in good time. The task was to develop a corresponding diagnostic procedure. The task was solved by measuring the substance P content in the blood plasma of the children. Field of application of the invention is medical diagnostics.
