titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING P- (THIOSEMICARBAZIDO) DIAMINO-METHYLENE HYDRAZINO BENZENE
abstract The process for the preparation of p- (thiosemicarbazido) -diamino-methylenehydrazinobenzene (formula I) describes the recovery of this compound from p-benzoquinone-guanylhydrazone-thiosemicarbazone by reduction with sodium dithionite. The compound I is converted by treatment with hydrochloric acid into the hydrochloride, which is deposited by addition of saturated sodium chloride solution in crystalline form and is obtained after aspiration and drying over P2O5 / KOH in a durable, water-soluble, suitable for therapeutic purposes.
