titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR REDUCING AROMATIC NITRO- TO AMINO BONDING AFTER BECHAMP REACTION
abstract The invention involves an improved process for the preparation of aromatic amino compounds from their nitro compounds by means of Bechamp reduction, by carrying out the reduction and work-up in the presence of a surfactant in a solvent or dismutant. Suitable surfactants are anionogenic, cationogenic or nonionic compounds. The inventive Bechamp reduction results in amino compounds as valuable intermediates for pharmaceuticals, dyes and pesticides.
