Production process for gas cleaning masses for removing sulfur and hydrogen chloride. The goal is a contact in the form of cylindrical pills, which is highly active and thermostable in a wide temperature range of 320 to 700 K. Such a contact serves primarily as a protective contact for sulfur and chloride-sensitive process stages. Essence of the invention is the activation of inactive zinc oxide, optionally with addition, by strong acids or alkalis in the presence of water to form a highly basic intermediate, the thermal decomposition of a highly active contact for the recordings of sulfuric and hydrogen chloride is obtained. The contact has the shape of cylindrical pills, has a long life and can be produced in a technologically simple manner. |
