abstract The object of the invention to provide a method for reconstructing non-linearly delta-modulated signals is achieved by determining the temporal position of successive extreme values from a received coded signal and, in addition, the amplitude difference between these extreme values. Subsequently, interpolation is performed between these extreme values with a signal-typical edge profile, for example a cosine-like edge profile.
