abstract The invention relates to a process for preparing soluble polymeric metal complexes with metal-containing counterions. Areas of application are electron microscopy and the chemical industry. According to the invention, polymeric ions in solution are reacted in one step with compounds consisting of metal-containing cations and metal-containing anions or precursors of such compounds. Subsequently, if desired, a desired p H value is set. To prepare soluble polymeric cationic complexes with metal-containing anions, salts such as CuWO4, ZnCrO4 or CuMoO4 are dissolved in cationic polymers such as soluble polyamines. For the preparation of soluble polymeric anionic complexes with metal-containing cations z. B. mixtures of Cu (OH) 2 and Dimethylthalliumcarbonat dissolved in anionic polymers such as carboxymethylated polyethyleneimines.
