titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE SURFACE OF METAL POWDER OF THE TANTALI AND ITS ALLOYS |
abstract | The invention relates to a rapid oxidimetric method for determining the surface of metal powders of tantalum and its alloys and is used for their characterization or quality control, wherein instead of aufwiogen measurement of the adsorbed inert gas volume, the faster and more sensitive activation analytical determination of Oberflaechensauerstoffgehaltes occurs. The inventive method is characterized in that on the surface of the Ta powder under the action of atmospheric oxygen from a few atomic layers existing, adherent oxide film is produced to the Ta powder is heated to 320-330C for at least 60 min, after completion of the oxidation of Excess unbound oxygen is removed by inert gas flushing, a BET calibration measurement is carried out to determine the specific oxygen coverage, the surface oxygen content is determined by activation analysis and the true surface area of the powder is determined therefrom. |
